    USB 2.0 card problem

    Hi,

    I purchased a no name usb 2.0 card (a made in china deal) and tried to install it with the drivers that came with it. However, win xp doesn't detect the drivers so I was wondering whether anyone knows where I can get generic USB 2.0 drivers for win xp. BTW, the card has an Ali chipset. Thanks.

    Do you have Service Pack 2 installed? That will have some generic USB2 drivers. See if Everest can shed some more light on exactly what the card is, and we'll see if we can find a proper driver for it:

    nvm, i fixed it by installing the driver before I installed the card. Then it detected it and all was smooth. I found the latest Ali driver on the internet. Thanks for you help.
