norton install on startup
hello.
whenever i start my xp home sp2, i get a few splash screens, mcaffe etc, but the last thing to load is windows installer. after about half a second of windows installer, a message appears saying 'norton does not support the reinstall feature. please uninstall and reinstall'. now, without having to reinstall, is there a simple way to remove this? like is there a proccess that i can stop loading at boot or anything? i do not recall installing any new progs immediately before this message began appearing. please help.

Check everything in msconfig, and match up what you want to load to try and determine what process(es) are unrecognised, and if you can tell which could be Windows Installer/Norton by the path then untick it, if you find some that you're unsure about post them here.
