network card in 98
im doing some pro-bono work for a somewhat poor family and their computer, to be honest, is a piece of c**p, 233 mhrz and windows 98SE... im trying to get the network card driver installed and whenever i do so, it tells me to put the 98 cd in and it asks for a bunch of files that dont exist.... where can i get these files?? ive forgotten everything i knew about 98 and this needs to be done by tomorrow

If they are DLL files and the name(s) were given at an error, try here:

its also asking for some things that dont have an extention ("services") and a few .386 files, where can i get these?

Have you actually tried putting in the win98 CD - it wasn't clear from your post ?
Maybe it it also needs the driver floppy / cd for the network card.
What sort of network card is it, maybe the drivers are on the manufacturers website ??
P.S. Is tht you in the photo in your signature ?

i tried the cd... i searched the cd for the files it wanted and it returned nothing...
i dont have the cd, the family never gave it to me
its a realtek RTL8039... i also have a RTL8029 i cannot get to work either
its someone i found on google images when i was makin a sig....
