    Resolved [RESOLVED] Assistance Needed

    well here i am again.

i recently reinstalled xp home and spent about 11 hours reconfiguring all of my files that i had saved to dvd-rw's and resetting all of my xp settings. then i used tune up utilities and now its all gone wrong. well, not all. its like the theme has changed but i cant change it back. xp wystem restore doesnt work (obviously) and roxio goback cant find any safe restore points. this is affecting all programs that i run too. i have posted pics on a website if anyone cares to try and help me. i want it back to the windows default theme and colours. the url for the pics is http://www.hairyfish.bravehost.com the pics are in a zip file. please someone save me. again

    Hi,

    Before you try Liam`s fix
Did you try to change it back this way?

    Right click START BUTTON/Properties/Start Menu

Make sure the top option for "Start Menu" is checked and not the "Classic"

i tried the start menu thing and the classic view was not checked. i also downloaded the themes on kellys-corner and all they changed were the background and the colour of the menu bars. my problem includes my taskbar as you will see in the pictures. ad-aware is updated anyhow. its the free version

I keep getting the message "daily bandwidth limit exceeded" on that link to the pictures, so i can't check the taskbar, but there is a taskbar repair tool available from kellys corner, not sure if it will help: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm

solved. i reinstalled xp. thats how much the little things annoy me. but not the voices. i love the voices. go to display properties and there is a drop down menu for windows and buttons. you can choose windows xp or classic view. my desktop was on windows classic. you may think im an idiot for not changing this small item back to windows xp but alas. the windows xp option was not there. i may have changed something in tune up utilities. i will hopefully never know.
