    FireTune for Firefox troubles.

I just downloaded Firefox and am usinng it on my old Pentium one system with 95. I like it very much. However, It was suggested by a forum member I do search for help optimizing Firefox. So on a google search I found something called FireTune for Firefox. Suppose to do everything automatically for you with optimizing Firefox. However, when I try to run it, it says 'Can't find profile' or something like that. And it wants me to point to a portable firefox version? I dunno. Anyone else familiar with this that can help?

It worked okay for me, not really sure what the problem could be, but i think it will basically perform all of the alterations to firefox which you could do yourself manually by looking at this thread:FF Tweaks

and based on whether you have a fast pc and fast connection or slow pc and slow connection you can configure different ways to make the browser run faster on this link: FF Speed Tweaks

Cannot get Firetune to work with the Firefox I downloaded. Also, Java won't install because M$ may not have gotten to Mozilla, but they sure could get to Sun Corp. The Java wants 2000 or XP to install on and wont install on my 95 system.

Anyways, I have switched to Opera. Less bulky and I am really starting to like it a WHOLE lot.

FWIW....Firetune wouldn't work for me either......althought it claims to work for Win-all, it doesn't, even after making sure I had VB6 runtime or some such, (what Firetune said to make sure was installed) , it still would not open after installing, and I tried 3 or 4 times.
I have found that for some unexplainable reason many of the tweaks will not work on older OS's.
