Error message while installing ChessMaster 4000 on Win XP Home Edition

I keep getting this error message when I try to install ChessMaster 4000 on my XP Home Edition;
"The procedure entry point SUnMapLS_IP_EBP_12 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

Any ideas why?

I reinstalled the OS with a clean install and removed the previous Windows folder and still have this problem, as I did before the clean install of Windows XP Home.

I have plenty of disk space and over 700 MB of Ram.

Processor is 900+ MHz

I used the Compatibility Wizard too and I still get this error message.

When you used the compatibility mode, did you do this by right clicking the games .exe file, chosing windows 98, then trying to install the game? According to my research that game doesn't say it's compatible with XP.
