Heat Issues
I'm know all about the temperatures, but I'm never really sure about the temps of my computer. I have an AMD, below in my sig. I've been building computers since the 386-486 days and never run into a problem like this. My board is an Asus A7n8x Deluxe with BIOS update 1008 (the temps have stayed consistent with each BIOS update) . The Temps in the BIOS on this CPU have always been in the low 60's celcius! In Windows they always read in the upper to mid 30's C. Yes, I've used quite a few temperture gauges to name a few of the more popular ones Motherboard Monitor, Asus Utilities and Everest. Right now the Temp in MBM is 36c CPU, 19c Case & 49c Diode. In Asus its 36c CPU & 19c Case. And Finally Everest 36c CPU, 19c Case & 51c Diode. I'm now on my 3rd Heatsink and Fan for this CPU-Computer. The first was a CoolerMaster X-Dreams, then a CoolerMaster Heatpipe can't remember if it had another name or not but it wasn't the newest one. Now I have a Thermaltake Pipe 101 with a Thermaltake 90mm SilentCat. With each heatsink and fan I may have dropped maybe a degree or so. I am also using Arctic Silver 3. I'm going to do a reboot into the BIOS then edit this Post with the BIOS temps.
Sorry about this post, when I installed the ThermalTake equipment 2 days ago I checked the temps in the BIOS and it was at 60c. With the Reboot I just did I got an amazing 45-46c/113f. I'm really not sure what's going on. I'm going to have to monitor this one a little bit closer. Thanks!

Just an update on my temps!
Still looking good in Windows - CPU:36c Case:19c Diode:51c
Its looked about the same all day with MBM5, Everest & Asus Utilities
BIOS temps have looked good all day again CPU: 45-46c /113f
I will monitor these for the next week to see how it goes, I'm
very happy with the BIOS readings hanging in at around 45c.
I ran 3D Mark 2001 SE & 3D Mark 03 back to back with the
temps at:
Windows/MBM5 CPU:40c Case:18 Diode:56c
BIOS directly after the 3D Mark's
CPU:46c/114f
Remember they were at:
BIOS-CPU: 60c
It dropped 15c degrees
Windows/MBM5 CPU: 38c-40c
It dropped about 2c-4c degrees
