    monitor won't go on

    My monitor seems to turn on and off just fine. The problem is when I turn the computer on it goes to rest mode and nothing shows up on screen. the cpu seems to be powering up just fine.

    PentiumIII 800 mHz
    Windows Millenium
    256 RAM
    Mega Image Monitor

    Give the cable a good hard waggle about in case there is a bad connection before you try anything else.

    Wiggling Cable

    I wiggled the cable on both ends and nothing changed. Is it time for a sledge hammer yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
