    incoming/outgoing-mail

hello all, mail.adelphia.net<--pop3 and smtp servers does nothing

not exactly sure where to post this,i have a simple home web page with my email address on it [email protected].
when i access the page and send email from a win2k pc(with internet exp ver 5) on it it sends email directly to my yahoo.com email box. when i do the same from my XP pc (internet exp ver 6)
i get cannot find account. both are using outlook express(earlier version on IE5 pc) i have tried using a hotmail account on the XP pc howver it stops saying that the service is no longer free. i tried uninstaling IE ver6 and also outlook express and installing IE ver5 but get the error more current version of IE is installed even after modifying registry setting (value changes from 1 to 0).

any suggestions? if i install mozilla browser, how can i do this and still retain I.E. ? thanks john

i have emailed my ISP requesting incoming and outgoing server names.

    hello 104456,

the email server provided by my ISP (adelphia) did not seem to work when used as an mail account in outlook express. so after entering yahoo.com as well as hotmail.com(have hotmail address)
into a dns lookup utility that i have and then entering different domain and sub domain names into the incoming and outgoing mail server provider boxes, i was able to get outlook express up and running. i also fooled around with the Tools>Internet Options>Prorams tab on I.E. believe it or not somewhere in there i also confused outlook with outlook express. thanks john
