How to turn off the system restore in WinMe?

Right click on My Computer.
Select Properties
Click Performance
Click File System
Click Troubleshooting
Check Disable System Restore
Click Apply
Click OK
Click OK

ps: one more question regarding WinMe system restore: would it be possible to delete all presvious restore points except the last one like in WinXP?

From memory.
Right click my computer> choose properties> performance > files> trouble shooting. Put a check mark on disable system restore > reboot

You could disable it which would clear all and then re-enable it which would create a new restore point as soon as the system reboots.
Other than that I have had it disabled so long I can't remember.
In fact I use a utility called System Restore Remover Pro which also deletes the hidden _Restore folder.
