which patch for folder.htt

well some body said that my folder.htt got redolf virus becoz of un patched microsoft word
is that so
if yes which patch i have to download
even if it not patched doesnt my AVs infact 3 of them dont do any thing

Hi.. I haven't seen any documentation on that way of getting the redlof virus. Here's another description of it

2.User opens a folder(with "View as Web Page" option enabled) infected with the virus"


Of course you should always have the latest security patches for all MS products but Word doesn't seem to be involved in this case.

You could download and install this little program...

noscript.exe from this page..

it disables Windows Scripting which this virus and some other exploits use to infect your computer. It is rarely needed but if you do at some point in the future need Windows scripting then you can easily turn it back on with noscript.exe.
