    Capturing a video segment.

My son is doing an educational video for school. He wants to capture a 2 minute segment from a DVD we have. How can I do this and what programs would be the best to use ????

    A little help...........................please.

    Thanks in advance !

If it's not breaking any copyright laws, meaning it's not a commercially produced DVD then there are a number of programs that you can use to rip DVD's and parts of DVD's

It's a fairly time consuming process and you need lots of disk space to extract the DVD or parts of it to your drive.

It is a copy-righted DVD. That is what I am trying to figuire out.
It's the movie Passion of the Christ.

In that case we can't help. Like I said above it's a copyright infringement and illegal to break the copy protection on the DVD and extract content.

    sorry.
