    saved HJTlog=wrong format.

I tried to copy and paste a HJT log to a reply virtualdr thread after running HJT and saved the log. The log was saved as a notepad.
VirtualDr and MS office did not accept this format: When I pasted the log to virtuadr, a message said "wrong format", and when I copy the log file to the clip board, a message said "wrong format" too.
Please show me a way to change my log format.
    I have IrfanView.
    Thank you.

With the log open in notepad , click in the listings , select all (ctrl a) , copy (ctrl c) and when writting your message in VirtualDr , paste with ctrl v.

The first time you click save log in hijackthis, it saves the file as a .log file then opens the .log in notepad, when it opens the file in notepad you can select and copy as above , or file - save as (change file type to text) and save the copy as a .txt file for opening in any editor - notepad - word etc

Or you could always open notepad, drag the hijackthis.log file into the window and copy from there.

There is no such thing as overkill. 'Open fire' and 'is it dead?' are the only sane options when threatened.
