home server
hi, i am interested in setting up an internet server at home. ive read a fair few documents on the internet about how set one up but i still dont really understand what programs to use, and how they work. ive downloaded apache2.0 because i was told to but i dont know how to work it. can anyone give me some help like a link to a site that will take me through the whole process step by step.

Before you go spending lots of money, or put lots of work in, make sure that your ISP is OK about it, many of them would take a dim view of you running your own webserver.
