2 - Wininet.dll files (?)
I have (2) Wininet.dll files.
One in C:\...Mod 7/23/2001...vs.5.50.4807.2300.
One in C:\Win\System...Mod. 7/24/2004...vs.5.50.4943.400.
I am getting some IE errors related to Wininet.dll.
I installed some DVD software and the patches from MS in July (the time of the newer vs).
I think the file belongs in Win\System.
Should I just delete the vs in C:\ ? Not sure what installed it there. Maybe the IE patch?
Or is there something else I need to do?.
I'm running Win98SE...IE5.5sp2.
Any recommendations are appreciated.
Regards,
Carson

Yes, wininet should be in Windows\system. Who knows how you got a copy in the root of C (ms patch wouldn't put it there), but it shouldn't be there. You can delete that one.
Please remember to post back whether your problem is resolved or
not, so that others may gain from the knowledge.

Thanks for the confirmation, DrMDJ.
How it got there is a mystery...btw, the one in C:\ had no "attributes" checked in properties. So a simple delete removed it. No DOS required, thankfully.
Thanks again.
