Hey all! I'm looking for Bulletin board software similar to vBulletin ofcourse FREE is always a preferred price. Any suggestions?

I would personally recommend phpBB, simply because the source code is extremely easy to understand and the amount of styles, plug ins and addon's etc is staggering, this makes it a very flexible piece of software.

As far as im aware the free version of vBulletin is only to let you test the software, then you can progress to purchasing a licence for the full version, the features on this free version are cut back.

phpBB is a fantastic free alternative, full featured and simple to control. There are numerous web sites dedicated to its betterment, there is also a lot of support on the Internet for it as its so widely used. I've installed it on a number of sites for customers and had no problems with it so far, excluding the one's I've created myself
