When did www.sympatico.ca become http://sympatico.msn.ca/ ? Or is it my computer? I would have thought Bell Canada would not have been large enough it would have had to sell out to MSN! I'm not very happy about this. As far as I'm concerned MSN is only slightly better than AOL.

Quoted from a well buried Sympatico news release:
Microsoft and Bell Canada are working together to provide Internet services that combine the best of Sympatico services and MSN. To provide these new enhanced services to our current Bell Sympatico Internet customers, it is necessary for Microsoft to ensure that any existing .NET Passport accounts that use an @Sympatico.ca e-mail address belong to active Bell Sympatico customers.
On June 1, 2004 , .NET Passport made changes to its service such that only valid and active Sympatico ISP customers can have Passports using the @Sympatico.ca domain. To complete these changes, .NET Passport now requires that all @Sympatico.ca Passports that were not verified in the month of May be changed to another e-mail address.
Please be advised that your @Sympatico.ca e-mail address and Sympatico Internet service will not be affected by any of these changes.
Looks like I'll be changinhg ISP's in the very near future. IMHO anything that bears the MSN logo as part of the home page is totally messed up. So much for their promise "your @Sympatico.ca e-mail address and Sympatico Internet service will not be affected by any of these changes."
