How to remove disabled startup programs?

I've disabled some irritating adwares from startup. I've removed them from add/remove programs. I've ran regcleaner to clean that end. Unfortunately, the programs are still in startup under msconfig. They're disabled, but they're STILL THERE!!! How can I remove them? Thanks in advance.
To err is human. To forget to turn the NumLock on is just plain stupid.

That can be done by editing the Registry.
But back it up first before making any changes.

Then, go to Start/Run, type regedit, click OK, click the + by HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version, click the Run folder, on the right side of the screen right click an entry that you want removed from the startup list, click Delete, click Yes at the warning, repeat for other entries in the same folder, when finished with that folder repeat for other folders that have Run in them, and finally repeat the entire process for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
