adding registry value

hi all
I have a win2k server that is used as a proxy using DirecPC. We are having issues with the service stalling out and stopping. I did a searcha dn found this link

Now I am using an analog phone line to access the net and this line IS NOT in the registry and I think maybe it should be. Not being a registry expert, could you give me the right values, etc to put here. many thanks

I doubt you'd have much fun using the 9X registry entry. It would either do nothing or really mess up your machine.
