    webcam

    can someone reccomend a good, cheap outdoor webcam i can but outside my chicken coop?
    (and a place to buy it)

    PSP, its like cheese you can listen to outside

    one i can have upload a photo to an ftp server every 5 seconds

    ok. I guess "outside my chicken coop" threw me.

    Why would you need to upload every 5 secs? I am not sure I can help with this one. Might wait for someone else to help you, like Jerryctx.

    There are lots of cameras available and at very reasonable prices.

    The problem is software to upload periodically. If its available off the shelf, I can't find it. You might call the toll free number at 123cctv. They offer software but its just to display the image.
