windows boot error

whenever i start windows in a dos-looking environment it tells me in a long explination that i am missing the file known as "vnetbios.vxd"

because this is a windows 98 se system and all my other computers run XP pro, i need someone to find the location of this file post where it is located and possably post the file itsself

Haven't been on Win98 for awhile, but I have a note I made here on that problem - vnetbios.vxd at startup:

Contro Panel> Add/Remove> Window setup> Communications> Dialup Networking. Uncheck, restart. Check, restart. Must have CD.

See if that works.
