Back a few months ago, I somehow managed to lose the ability to do a search for a file/folder - anything on my puter. I posted the problem, and OTTR and Rambler came up with the solutions that worked. Well, once again, managed to do exactly the same thing again - no start/search. Thought I had saved the files to fix on my puter, but either didn't or deleted them. Searched the VDR forums and found the solution - still there. Everything is again working fine. The Search capability of VDR definately came through for me. Thanks.

As a side note, the program I had installed again, was Fix-It Utilities 2000. Didn't catch the correlation last time but did this time. It / me was deleting the wrong registry items and causing the problems.
Another lesson learned.

BTW - Fix-It is no longer on the system....
