Virus trouble
Hello,
I'm getting a virus alert when I run AVG antivirus. It reads,
Java\Byte
Virus Identified is found in file C:\ Program Files| Lavasoft\ Ad-aware 6\ Cache\ Parser. class. To remove this virus, please run AVG anti virus for Windows. This only shows up when I run AVG.
I'm confused. Can you help me?
Thanks, John

You do have a virus, but it is not in Adaware. Here is an explanation and help to fix it. The advice applies to all antivirus scanners although Norton is involved in this instance.

Hello,
I found the files that were infected. I couldn't send them to a floppy and don't know why. They were only 1 kb each so I deleted them. So far so good. I ran AVG and nothing was detected. Now that this is done, could you tell me how to right click something, like a file, and make (send to) go where I want it to go?
Thanks, John

You already have a "Send To" on the Right Click Menu. If you want to add more places to send to .....
The SendTo folder is hidden by default. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options. On the View tab, click Show hidden files and folders.
1.Double-click the Documents and Settings folder.
2.Double-click the folder of a specific user.
eg. C:\Documents and Settings\'User Name'\Sendto
3.Double-click the SendTo folder.
4.On the File Menu, point to New, and then click Shortcut.
5.Follow the instructions on your screen.
