AIM and Sprint PCS phone
I wanted to have AIM forward messages to my phone while I'm away. I have the phone signed up with the AIM Mobile service. But the phone only interacts with AIM if I log onto AIM with the phone. I don't have to do this with MSN Msg. Also I continue to get messages on the phone even after I return from an away state on the computer. With MSN I get messages forwarded only when I'm offline. How do I get the AIM service to behave as nicely as MSN?

A guess: - If logging into your AIM account with your phone was not required, then anyone that picked up your phone would immediate ly have access to your AIM account.
- As soon as you log back into MSN via your PC, MSN assumes you're no longer away and you probably want it to stop forwarding your messages. Since AIM doesn't know when might you consider yourself away, you'll have to tell it. (If you run to the restroom, or into the kitchen, or even out into the backyard, do you consider yourself away? How's the phone (and AIM) supposed to know?

The phone's not supposed to know, but AIM should stop forwarding messages to my phone when I turn off my Away message.
Well I can understand that point about logging in for security. But I don't have to do this with MSN, all messages get forwarded to the phone when I'm offline. I just think MSN's way of doing it is smarter than AIM's, so I'll no longer use AIM for message forwarding.
I use MSN more now because 6.x is so much better than AIM.

I found out what the problem was. I have to log off AIM before it'll forward messages. I thought it'd just do it if I put my away message up.
