Linksys Router problem
Well I picked up a Wireless G router today and put the cd in and ran the setup procedure to set up the connection properties but for some reason in the first step where it checks my internet connection it says that I am not connected to the net. Any ideas on what can be the problem? I am using Adelphia Cable modem for internet access.

Well, Adelphia's web site wasn't a lot of help for me, so I don't know exactly how you're authenticating to them. Sounds like you either have a password/username problem or you're not set up correctly on the router side.
Example.... My Earthlink DSL requires a username and password over PPPoE. So, my router is configured in PPPoE mode to give that username/password combination. I've seen a few of the local cable modems that don't require a username and password from a router... you just have to configure the router for DHCP on the WAN side.
