Here's a link to a utility called "Span Disk"

    http://www.cybertechhelp.com/html/do...load.php/id/13

Span disk will allow you to copy files that are to large for one disk onto two disks.
Hope this is what you're looking for.

    Hi Steppenwolf:

Here's another (old) one to add to your toolbox. It runs in DOS (in case your Windows doesn't work). Freeware.

You need to unzip the files first. I use winzip. You can download it from here:

    http://www.winzip.com/

You can also use splitter3.1 to split the files to 2 floppies. It is small enuff that you can load it on the 1st floppy to use to unite the files on the laptop.

    You can download it here:

    Furthermore . . .

    . . . and

If you need a good unzipper, try FreeZip. (Freeware -- free forever.)

Yes that is it./ It used to be free to use to unzip and had a nag window as I remember.

I have a bought copy so I am not sure how long the evaluation version is valid.

But you can download 7 Zip here:

    http://www.7-zip.org/

It is free and will unzip files also.

I have never used 7 Zip so I know little about it or how it works.

I would only select one to download for now as the last loaded will want to be the default and confusion may ensue about which is working if both are loaded onto your computer.

    Hope this helps

    You got the wrong one

    Hi John7714:

You must have found the "wrong" FreeZip. There's an interloper out there who has been using the name "FreeZip!" (note the "!") which encourages you to "register" and send contributions to "support future development."

The REAL FreeZip (by Dariusz Stanislawek) is completely free (forever) with no popups. Use my link above to the genuine FreeZip.

Right Jerry. I was answering Steppenwolf's question about the Winzip D/l and you got in first with the FreeZip Suggestion.

It looks like FreeZip would be the one to go with. Seems to be less complex than 7 Zip and more free than WinZip.
