    Hi Jim....Regarding your answer to spaceman. After clicking on 32 bit we are give a choice: 5.5, 5.5 SP1, or 5.5 SP2. Which one should I choose ?

    dupross, I'm not Jim but i'd recommend IE 5.5 SP2 as it's the most up-to date version of IE 5.5.

    Once installed, you should go to Windows Update and get whatever Critical updates are offered. I think MS still offers everything there.
    However you could also check the site
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...al/default.asp
    to see if anything else, specific to IE5-5SP2, is offered.

    Many thanks for that information on critical updates.
    I have IE 5.0 now and I have been putting off updating because everything seems to be working well. I have seen comments like,"if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and that has been my motto, but I guess that is not always the road to take.....sort of the head in the sand approach.lol
