Foot Control Pedal not playing files

I am trying install a Foot Pedal used for playing voice files. It is plugged into a Creative SoundBlaster Live 5.1 with updated drivers. In the control panel when I add the game controllers and I add foot control instrument, there are 3 buttons on the pedal. Under calibration, there are 3 lights but when I push the left button, light 2 turns on. When I push the right button, light 3 turns on. But when I push the play (middle button) on the pedal, nothing happens. I have contacted the manufacturer www.tvps.com but they said that there drivers are Windows generic ones.

I cannot get the play on the foot pedal to work. Please help
