    Paper Pulling from Unexpected Tray

Workstations: Windows 2000 SP4 with Novell Client 4.83 SP2 with Patch 'E' using DLU via ZENworks 3
    Printer: HP LaserJet 4000N
Printer driver: lj289en.exe (latest from HP site)

When different users log in, when they go to print a document the printers display panel displays the message:

    Tray 1 Load Plain Letter
    Use Plain A4 instead

this requires the user to inervene and hit the Green button. Now, I log in as myself, set all the printer settings accordingly, like 'A4' for 'Paper Size' and 'Paper Source' drop down boxes and 'Plain' for 'Media' drop down box . Now, when I log out and another user logs in, the settings go back to 'Auto Select' resulting in the message at the printers display panel and requiring the user to hot the GO button. Any ideas?

I have followed the steps in http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printer.../bpl06360.html to no avail. any ideas? does this have something to do with profiles?

I've seen it before (although not through NetWare) and the problems was that the guides in the paper tray were not clicked into place. The sensors were therefore detecting the wrong type of paper...

Auto Select should work just fine, which is why I suspect that its a hardware problem with the guides/sensors.
