    Linksys BEFSX41 slow

    I have a Linksys BEFSX41 router and it is very slow on donwloads. I have connected my cable modem directly to my computer and it is super fast but for some reason it is slow through the router. I don't have any firewall software on my computer and I am running XP Pro.

    Make sure your router is set up to it's TCP/IP Stack automatically from your ISP.

    ALso, check the Linksys website for updated firmware for your router.....

    Definitely check that, for the security part if for nothing else.
    But the last firmware did help the downloading and uploading in my router. Same model.
