trying to update I-View
Rats! I loaded Irfanview 3.8 (after removing an older ver) on my old win95 rig (see below) and am getting this errmsg:
----------------------------------
LOADER ERROR;
The procedure entry point GetDiskFreeSpace.ExA could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll
----------------------------------
I hope this means only that I need to update my KERNEL32 driver. Could I do this from my Win98 CD, my ver of '98 runs I'view 3.8 handily- on a hotter machine, of course, but this seems a driver issue... ?

This link might help:
Lots of pop-ups first but nothing nasty. Just close em and read away.

Hope this helps.

I wouldn't try that. kernel32 from win98.
Did you read the readme file? might be info in there.
I'd remove the new download/install and try download NT version and see if that works. Just a guess. Only thing they support on 95 is 95A op sys.

I agree Mach definitely don't use a kernel from different os.
The link above has info on what os's you need to run 3.8 and also another link to a version of Iview that will run on old Win95 pcs.

P.S. FWIW, I use spybot, Spider, AVG antivirus, Sheilds Up, Mozilla and Kerio Personal firewall. I NEVER get popups anymore...
