    Low Profile Video Cards

I'm putting together a fairly powerful PC that is in a low profile case. I'm hoping to connect two monitors to this PC and I need to find either a dual head AGP video card or an AGP and a PCI video card. I was needing a low profile FireWire card, but I was able to find one. The video is the only thing I'm lacking now. So far, everything that I've found has either been under-powered or way too expensive. I'm a little more partial to the GeForce 4 cards, but I would be willing to try something different if the price is right.

There's this one, unfortunately it's PCI only, and with a Radeon chipset:

I don't have a problem with PCI only, I do have a problem with that price. I've been able to find a few that are under $100. The second strike on that is that it is from Gateway. After working for a company that only used Dell's and now working for a computer consulting company, I've learned a lot about the big boys that I really don't like. If I have a problem, I like being able to call the person that sold it to me and have a real live human being answer the phone instead of a cold computer that directs my call to the next person who wants to get me off the phone inside 15 minutes. Good customer service isn't having a wait time of under fifteen minutes, it is having a real live human being immediately answer the phone that is willing to make you happy and wants to get your problem fixed so that you'll want to come back and do business with them again. Okay... I'll get off my soapbox now!

    This may help:

or for PCI, don't know if this:

    is still around.

Or a low profile Matrox (expensive, but has DualHead):

Thanks to a handy topic on WinDrivers for the above info...

The lowest-price vendor that has live, intelligent humans available to immediately answer tech support calls? You'd better hurry up and call 'em cause they sure won't be in business for long. (Now who you gonna call?)

I work for a computer consulting company. When one of our customers has a problem, there is a live person in our office to answer the phone and help them with their problem. Our main distributor, Synnex, has a live person to answer the phone when we need to make an order. I'm just saying I don't want to go through a Dell or a Gateway to get a simple video card. I can get better help and a better price through someone like NewEgg.

BTW... Murf... maybe you didn't see that I was looking for a Low Profile card. The card you suggested was too tall for my case. The bracket also has the screw on the opposite side. I would mind milling a bracket that is the right size, but something can be said for buying something that is already fabricated even if it does cost me an extra $5 to $10 and saves me a few hours and some frustration.
