Hp 751n crash... Help...
The other day I was scanning pics and saving them...I noticed a pic was saving in a weird format, like it was buggy...a single picture 400 megabytes...cant be right I figure...anyways I save it to disk and go to edit it, next thing I know everything goes buggy.
PC crashes, when it reboots keyboard won't work.....it isnt the keyboard though. The pc starts up at the safe mode prompt, but I can't hit...last good configuration because keyboard isnt loading, then pc starts and I get a blue screen of death with the message..unmountable_boot_load.
My pc is essentially a paper weight, and I cant figure it out..how can I format or do anything without a keyboard? If you have any clues...help me for god sakes!!!!
I have an hp Pavilion 751n....hp came up with a great idea, better than a recover disk...they just installed a fresh operating system image on a partition on hard drive...click f11 and it formats pc...unfortunately, I don't have a keyboard...the keyboard isn't loading in the boot process. In other words...save me! Hewlett Packard doesn't send a recovery disk, they partition the hard drive with a fresh image so that if you hit f11 you can format?

Have you tried removing Keyboard in "device manager" then restart computer to see if windows will pick it back up again?
Won't hurt to try this.....and it's just a suggestion!!

Hi Bojovan,
This sounds like the BIOS settings may have gotten screwed up. I'd try clearing the CMOS, whether by means of a jumper on the mainboard, or by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes...

Unless your mouse is built into your keyboard, yes, right click using "mouse" on my computer, scroll to "properies" and click on "hardware" tab. go to "device manager", find "keyboard" and right click and delete.
Restart computer, for which you only need a mouse to do this.
I would also try what Limerick suggested in clearing your CMOS.

I removed the CMOS battery for a few minutes... that did the trick. I got it up and running again. I'm curious if anyone has an idea what happened. Could I have got some strange form of virus that my anti virus program couldn't find? Thank you again for the help... I have learned allot from people like you... Many, many thanks to all of you that take the time to help...

bojovan. You're welcome and we're always glad to help.
As for your question could it have been a virus, it's possible but not probable. Because if you had a virus you would still have it even though you reset your CMOS. So, me thinks, it was just a glitch in the system. These glitches happen at about anytime. Could have been a conflict with something or who knows?, could have been anything.
If you are worried your virus checker isn't doing it's thing you can scan online at http://housecall.microtrend.com and always be sure it's ok. Lots of techs here use this online scanner, as well as myself. Just to be on the safe side of those nasty things.
