    Internet Explorer Script Error

    Computer: Pentium III 800 MHz
    System: Windows ME
    Internet Explorer Version 6.02800.110615
    RAM: 256
    Printer: HP Deskjet 3820

Hopefully I have given all the info you need about the computer!
My problem is printing out Web Pages and E-Mails. Everytime I attempt to print I get the following message:

    Internet Explorer Script Error

An error has occurred in the script on this page

    Line: 508
    Char: 1
    Error: Permission denied
    Code: 0
    URL: res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/preview.dlg

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

    Yes No

It doesn't matter whether I say yes or no the result is always the same, the window disappears and nothing happens!!!!!!!!

All this seemed to start when my Internet Explorer shut down by itself for the gazillionth time and when I sent an error report it said I could go to the Internet Explorer web site and download the fixes. I guess it has fixed one problem and caused another, surprise surprise.

    Please Help

    Thankyou
    Suzanne

You can turn off those useless script errors. Click on Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced. Click the checkbox "Disable script debugging". Uncheck the checkbox labeled "Display a notification for every script error".

I have taken the check marks out of both those spots and clicked on apply, I even restarted the computer and I still get the script error coming up. Would a Sledge Hammer do the job!!!!!!!

    Thankyou

Momstheword.....you should leave the one checked that says "disable script debugging" but uncheck the other one.

When you uncheck "disable script debugging" it causes IE to to enable it, so reverse that one, but leave the other unchecked.

    Hope this helps!!!

in internet options advanced,, I have two boxes that say Disable script debugging.. ( the first one is Internet explorer, and the the second one below says other...), Yet you don't say exactly which one to uncheck,, you only say " Momstheword.....you should leave the one checked that says "disable script debugging" but uncheck the other one.
When you uncheck "disable script debugging" it causes IE to to enable it, so reverse that one, but leave the other unchecked."

so uncheck Internet or Other ???
