    palm prc image converter

does anyone know of an image converter for Palm OS that converts .bmp and jpg images to Palm .prc format without dithering or converting to raw format?? The sample images that came with my Clie SJ20 were in .prc format and are hi-res images. I tried installing a freeware image viewer that views jpg, gif and bmp, but they come out all dithered or look like they're in 4 bit format. My SJ20 supports 320x320 hi-res photos.

anybody have any links for a jpg to prc or pdb converter for the Palm OS?? Jpgs show up as grainy, low grade pics. My Clie SJ20 has a hi-res monochrome display with backlight.

Use Picture Gear Lite. It should be available with the CD that comes with your Clie. It will only work if those pics were encoded for viewing on your Clie on PGPocket.

    Miz,

do you have any links to any pdf's or help pages on how to use Picture Gear Lite?? The in-help doesn't really explain how to convert the images to picture gear format..it only tells how to transfer images. The images that are stored on the SJ20 are in prc format.

When transferring jpgs into the SJ20, they come out like they've been in 4 bit mode and the sample images look like they're in 128 bit mode.
