I want to overwrite DOS system files

Hi, I want to overwrite my current DOS system files with DOS 6.22 system files. Of course when I try to use the sys command I get the 'Wrong DOS version' message but I have dim memories of having achieved the seemingly impossible in the past. Can anyone help.

The reason for this request is that I bought a copy og DOS 6.22 from one of the 'cheap' shops and the Install disk system files seem to have been corrupted.

    Many thanks,

    Keith Hulse

You need to boot from the diskette containing the system files you want to use. Now try the SYS command.

(Various versions of boot disks can be found on bootdisk.com).
