iexplore running in the background
Howdy y'all!
Have a problem: I have started to have iexplore running in the background even after the program is closed. Several times. I mean when I do C>A>D i have iexplore listed umpteen times and the system resources are extremely low. I close tyhem and resources return to normal. Suggestions?

Sounds like a virus.
BUT!
Did you try the repair tool?

Sounds weird as a possible virus as Prophet mentioned.
On my Windows 98 IE6 computer I never have iexplorer
running the background. Only explorer, needed, running.
You may want to try, if virus tools don't help,
Start/run/msconfig and uncheck the box "load startup
group items" and then reboot.
See if the prob is still present.
Good luck.
