I have a new Dell laptop running XP Pro and the history folder in Internet Explorer only shows one day........Thursday. It is always empty and for the life of me, I cannot figure out whaat is causing this problem. Any suggestions?

hbarski--Are you saying that the only day shown in your History files is Thursday regardless what day of the week you access the History? Or is that just the case today, Friday, the day after Thursday? If the latter, go to IE Tools|Internet Options|General tab and choose a number of "Days to keep the pages in History" greater than one.

Exactly, the only day that shows is Thursday, no matter what day of the week your on. And, it is always empty, i.e. no links showing under it.

Hi yes it appears that your History file is locked ,usually caused by third party ops, check this site for possible fix:-
http://www.purgeie.com/lockhist.htm
Also first try repair IE from add/ remove in control panel.
