Can't view .jpg pics!
I am an active user of the Aircraft Owners and Pilot's Assoc. WebBoard. Frequently, .jpg pictures are attached to postings. In the past, when I clicked on an attached .jpg file, it would open in a new IE browser window. My "problem computer" is running XP Home & IE 6.0. When I try to open the .jpg's with it, it opens them with "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer". However, the picture doesn't open, instead, it remains blank with the "no preview available" message across the center of the screen. I can save the .jpg's to my desktop, etc., and they will open from there with the "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" without a problem!
Any way to correct this with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer or get IE to open the .jpg with another browser window? BTW. I tried disabling NAV, Pop-up Stopper, etc., but none of that made any difference.
Regards,
John

Have you checked the options in Tools/Internet Options? Sounds like something is turned off.

With the image on the desktop, right click on it and choose Properties. Under the General tab, there is an area that reads "Open with". Click on "Change" and in the "Open with" window, scroll down and select your option "Internet Explorer" and then Apply the setting. hth
