    A very sad day indeed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the astronauts and their families.

    There has never been anything routine about space travel. It has always been and continues to be a risky adventure. It takes a very special spirit and great fortitude to be a part of these pioneering voyages. These brave people who gave their lives for this mission will always be remembered as heroes.
