Repeat File in Easy Cleaner... Need Help!!
Hi Everyone
I'm needing help with a file I keep getting when I run my Easy Cleaner program. It cleans Un-Necessary Files And No Longer Needed Registry Entries. I will Paste below the exact entry I get everytime under the Registry section. The date is always the same date I last re-booted and even though I select delete and dete this entry(actually it is always listed atleast three times and sometimes four times in this cleaner) it is always back the next day. I'm afraid to go into the registry and just delete it and I know it has to do with my modem. I didn't set this computer up for it but everytime I get a call, I have a pop up telling me I have a call. My modem is a voice fax/modem. I only have one line but do have what my phone company calls Call Notes. It's like Voice Mail so callers won't get a busy signal. But I don't have call waiting. My other computer did not do this, but with this new computer it does it. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the listings in the registry listings? Thanks!
Here's the listing from my Easy Cleaner:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE: Software\Microsoft\WBEM\WDM\DREDGE
01/13/2003 02:04AM C:\WINNT\System32\Drivers\Modem.SYS[MODEMWMI] LowDateTime:1315659776,HighDateTime:29435869***Binary mof compiled successfully

I'm just needing to know if it would be safe to go in to the registry and find this string and delete it?
Thanks!

Something is putting the entries back after your cleaner removes them.
If your modem is behaving, I'd be more inclined to tell the cleaner to ignore this particular entry when it is finding bad or orphaned entries. May well be a goof by the cleaner app.

Newt, Thanks! Yes, My Modem is behaving nicely so I suppose I will leave well enough alone! LOL Thank you for your time and for your answer. I will just instruct the cleaner to skip over this and not to worry over it! Thank you!
