red-yellow-white input on computer???

hello, i need to know if it is at all possible to but something for you computer to enable it to accept they red/yellow/white cables that you usually plug in your TV to view a video game.

mainly, i want to be able to view my xbox on my computer moniter, becuase i can never use it on my tv because it is being used for tv watching. i have found a xbox vga box, but i heard that this is a more inexpensive rout. is this possible. a usb hook up would be nice but a PCI card is ok. thank you,

Actually, you can get hardware that doesn't even need a PC on to work. Viewsonic makes something that will connect between your PC and monitor, and will also accept incoming connections from other video sources and has a TV tuner, too. This one lists for $200.

Fullscreen video and audio combined will almost certainly not be available over the USB bus, since it only recently expanded with enough bandwidth to handle video.

Does the x-box have s-video out? That will open up many options that standard RCA video cables won't. To connect audio, you could also avoid the PC and connect the red and white cables directly into your PC speakers with a simple RCA to mini adapter.

I have a graphics card that will take video input (Asus V8420 DL), and there are many others that will. Obviously that'll cost more than $50, but if you were thinking about a new graphics card anyway then it might be an option.

If you wanted to buy a TV tuner card, such as the ATI TV Wonder, you could then buy an RFU adapter and use it to connect the X-box to your computer. This will cost you about $60, but you'll be able to watch TV on your computer as well.
