This isn't it,,but just like the '47 Nash an Uncle gave me when i was 14. Gave it to me cause the neighbor kids had filled the gas tank with gravel.

Had a 6 cylinder flathead with dual ignition. 12 spark plugs,12 plug wires. Distributor cam was ground to fire plugs in cylinders alternately and shaft ran at half speed. Pulled the fuel tank, shook the rocks out, flushed it with kerosene(several times). Tinkered with it for 'bout a week and finally got it running. My first DIY car(but certainly not the last,,lost count years ago) and was really proud of it.

    Stupid question? No such thing!

Yea I had one, & I took it on a trip to Lake Tahoe from the San Francisco bay area, it had oil cooling lines that ran thru the radiator at high pressure, well one of the lines blew & boy was that a mess, let me tell you that was one fast car though. BJ

It was the RX2. Strange ignition with two sets of points in one distributor. Not quite 180* apart.

    GW . . . the man!

See where he's gonna try to get legislation passed that will let us keep more of OUR hard-earned money. The government is not giving us anything! They take LESS of what is OURS - we KEEP more of what is ours. TAX REDUCTION!! Always produces economic growth!!

DVOM - Well, according to my source, the R130 preceeded the RX-2.

So, what preceeded the R130 - and was the first Mazda rotary engine auto introduced in the UNITED STATES? All subsequent cars with rotary engines were based on this first model.

    Guess on year?

FORD = f****d over rebuilt dodge from the Ford district representative in 1993 the year I worked at a Ford dealership.

Then went to work for Mazda. Mazda B210 pickup became both the Ford and the Chevy Luv truck Most parts were completely interchangeable. If I didn't have the part either Ford or Chevy had it and vice versa, if they didn't have it I did. So much for old times. LOL.....

Hokey smokes bullwinkle!! Glad to see this thing took off Not the biggest but seems like one of the better ones.

(dagg just lucky to this thing posted before my isp dsl started having problems again yesterday. Bastids!.)

A bunch of mechanics at heart. cool ! Anybody out there have one of those SAABS? the one that you
had to add oil to? No valves just ports. My father bought it for my bro an paid like $50 for it to keep him out
of trouble. Funny if you mixed the oil correctly it didn't smoke! eventually the block cracked.. (crummy cooling system but what the heck, it's was designed for cold weather.) Can't remember how many bangers it had (I think 3) it was that front wheeler with that sloping salon back to that litle tail.

Hey I drive a ford with 143,000 miles (I got a good one!) Only new car I ever bought and I'll never buy a new car again!

If you drive a nice car = somebody will steal it.

If you drive a nice car = girls will hit on you and then you pay extra just trying to get lucky or even worse get married. Then you gotta get a new one (car) all the time and take care of yours too.

So make life simple and drive it into the ground.

BTW any of you guys collect Sports CARDS? I just came into some nice BB/FB cards, shoebox full.
<[email protected]> thought I'd give you guys first shot.

I got this old 79 Firebird with a Pontiac 301, currently has 208,000 miles on it. It stills runs, but it does need motor work now. I get an offer for it every now and then. Right now it is retired, pending a rebuild.
The amazing thing about this engine is that it has the same size pistons as the Chevy 350. Those old iron block engines can last a long time, with good maintenance, of course.
I have heard that Saab made 2 stroke engines. But, I figured it would have had an oil injection system, a big advantage over the premix fuel. Was that an air cooled engine?

No air cool/ had a rad. I bummed this image link.. LOL I hope he's does'nt get pissed. it is a two stroker/ 3 cylinders and you added the oil to the gas. like one quart of saab oil to a full tank. I think the dealer made more money pumping out tanks than sales.

http://members.aol.com/GDGDMjimg/index.html the car witht he kids next to it 3rd down.
