Why is it that when I click on a link, some are marked as read and some are not? ie, VDr does not mark which links are read and when I click back I have to searc for the thread I just clicked on.

If I understand your question and if you are referring strictly to Virtual Dr, once you click a link it depends on how you return to the main page. If you use the browser back button the graphic will not be altered. If you use the jump button at the bottom left of the page the graphic will change to indicate there are no new messages in the particular thread.

Usually when I click on a link when I return to that page the link has changed colors.

This happens in some cases but not in VDr and some others. What I can't understand is why it works for some and not others.
