Samba error when user mounts
I am running ELX Linux, and when I try to mount a network drive under the "network neighbourhood" I get the following error.
smbmount exited with errors
smbmnt must be installed suid root for direct user mounts (500,500)
smbmount failed: 1
I would appreciate if someone could help me, so that normal users can mount network drives.
Thanks in advance.
Yuri.

Hi Yuri,
Try this as root,
Code:
chmod u+s /path to smbmnt
or
chmod a+s /path to smbmnt
or
chmod ug+s /path to smbmnt
Smbmnt will proably be in /usr/bin/smbmnt
