I need help putting one small image into another larger image
Here's the two pictures all in one:
http://www.angelfire.com/nb/rctballer/pic1.html
the rollercoaster pic, I just cropped and moved it into the logo.
--What I want to learn to do is fade the coaster track only, into the logo, as a transparent and faded in picture, without the black gridded background inside that small picture.
-How do I do this? I'm using photoshop 6.01

Take the rollercoaster image, copy and paste into a new layer over the background. Then try one of the following:
Use the "magic wand" to select and delete the area around the rollercoaster. This may not work due to the pattern.
Or try "erasing" around the coaster, erasing only the pattern.
Or try using the "lasso tool". Draw around the coaster, copy, invert and click delete. Or draw around the coaster and "cut, copy and paste.
To blend you can "feather" the rollercoaster (10-15 should be enough). Also on the "Layers Palette" you can adjust the opacity of the layer by sliding the arrow to suite.
