    Telephony device in use?

    Hi all,

    I am trying to set up a Cisco switch using hyperterminal. When I try to connect, I get an alarm saying "there is another program using the selected Telephony device. Try again after the other program completes." When I go to the task manager, how can I find out which program is using this telephony device. There are about 2 dozen things running and I don't know what 95% of them are. This is a Dell Latitude laptop running XP. I am connected via com1. No conflicts in device manager.

    I am also met the same problem in my past but now the problem is over...
    Please collect lot of info about the topic and then try..
