Event Viewer System Error
In looking at Event Viewer/System I note the following error on every bootup:
"This computer is configured as a member of a workgroup, not as a member of a domain. The Netlogon service does not need to run in this configuration".
I am unable to locate any information on this subject. Can anyone tell me what this means and how to eliminate this error?
Dell 8200 - P4 1.8 - 512 ram - DSL
Thanks a lot.

Go to: Control Panel> Aministrative Tool> Services.
Scroll down to Net Logon.
2-click on it and set it to 'Manual'.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Arifu for putting me on the right track. I followed your advice - sort of. Instead of setting it to manual as you suggested, I disabled it. I rebooted and the error went away.
Thanks again.
