How can i use my desktop to download office97 to my cd-romless laptop?
G'day
i have this laptop that needs office 97 on it but, the problem is that it has no cd-rom. I have tried laplink but i find its to slow and files are re-aranged in the download also to many time out errors. I would really like to know how to connect both systems up like a network or workstations they both have win 95 and ethernet cards. The laptop is a old ibm thinkpad p100 and the desktop is a compaq200mmx. If anyone could give me a hand i would appretiate it.
Thanks

Hi
Can be done. This home network subject has been covered here from time to time. Search the old posts. Start for example here:

Once you have them networked, Share the CD-Rom Drive and Map in on the Laptop. Then run the install on the Laptop. It should install it just fine like from any other drive.
