Playing wav files on networked computers
We have 5 computers networked. I am able to access the C drive on my assistants as a "shared" drive. I also can use her printer through sharing. My question is this:I want to be able to activate a wav file that is on her computer by clicking on it from my computer, but have the sound played on her speakers. When I do this, it plays on mine, not hers. The shared drive works fine, I am able to see her entire drive, as well as activate our Access database that resides on her computer.I know this isn't a critical problem, but we are gearing up for her 40th birthday soon and want to surprise her.
Any help most appreciated.

No, when you access a file from a shared drive it will execute on your computer. To have it execute on the shared computer you would need to remotely control that computer, say PCAnywhere or Reachout, etc. If you want to play it on her computer automatically you could load it into 'scheduled tasks' and make it play every hour or at a specific time or whatever. Sorry couldn't offer more help.
